Can anyone tell us why DJI did not include ADS-B on the Mavic Air 2 sold in other countries besides the USA?

It works in Canada as well.
DJI was very clear that it works in North America only and they are working on enabling it in other countries.
Probably some regulatory stuff.

So you are saying all the hardware is already in the drone? All it needs is a software update after clearing the regulations of the specific country?

Hello there Flying Dutchman 123. As of the moment only North America is available for the ADS-B version ( Airsense ) drone. We are working on it to ensure DJI drones sold in other regions will be equipped with such a feature in the near future. There was a supply chain issue of the parts so it only went into the USA model,  although some are saying that later shipments have the hardware but it can't be activated.

The label sais that it could be the same HW, to be correct...

Ah ok. Do you think it possible for the units that have the hardware it could be implemented later through a software update?

North America only due to hardware supply limitations but it is coming to Europe in later batches - some are seeing the hardware already on MA2's they have just bought but it is yet to be activated.

I just bought mine. Is there any way I can tell if it has the hardware?

If your model number is MA2UE3W it may have it.

Thanks for that. Mine is ' MA2UEIN' so maybe not!

Mine came with ADS-B, but down here in Brazil it is disabled by software. DJI, please make it enabled for those have that hardware inside does not matter where we are!
