Managed to catch a snap of Comet Neowise with the Mavic Mini by dicking around with the camera settings (didn't dare fly the little bird at night, don't think she likes the dark).

Quite impressed that it was possible to get that shot from a drone cam. Waiting for clear skies to get a glimpse of this comet as well (and now I'm tempted to send my Spark up in the air as well)!

That's a fantastic shot Astro, well captured!

I do try and keep an eye on the skies but the west of Ireland is not very co-operative when it comes to nice clear weather for viewing, lot's of rain - though it is good in that we'd don't have a lot of light pollution - we have a dark sky park in a place called Ballycroy which is near to us here, good for educating the young people and to get them interested in astronomy.

Glow on the horizon is noctilucent clouds, the bird would want to have been high up to pick them up properly. Must try and track down the camera settings so others can give this a go

Many thanks for the nice appreciation SETI! Teaching the beauties of the cosmos to young people is a small hope for the future. I noticed that your photo has NLC's at the bottom. Comet and NLC's remarkable! Last year for the first time in Italy at 44 ° latitude I took the NLC's with great satisfaction. The photo of my comet is made with a 300mm 2 second exposure 800iso. By the way which setting did you use for shooting with the drone ?
