I'm trying to use my (new) Ronin-S with a Sony A7 and a Sigma 24mm f1.4 (I only mention the lens because it's quite heavy, and I wonder if this might be part of my problem). Im not using a cable to connect my camera to the gimbal (don't need to control rec function, just need stabilization...)

After balancing (and the app says 'excellent' for all three axises) I find that the camera spins uncontrollably if I move the unit away from straight up-and-down. It's weird and a little scary; it really does look like it's doing it's level best to pull itself apart and destroy my lens in the process...

I've done some searching, and it seems this is a common issue.
But it ALSO seems that a lot of people have no issues at all.

So I'm wondering if it's quality control problem and I just got a bad one.

OR I'm just not doing something right.

I cant get through to DJI on the phone (and the customer support at DJI isn't exaclty widely praised...) - can any of you offer some advice?

I figure my options are:
Find a solution with my current unit.
Return to Amazon, try another Ronin-S.
Return to Amazon, try a (Zhiyun? MOZA?)

Help?
Pretty please?
