One of the reasons I got into this stuff is the nice lines that railways give in a landscape.

I noticed that - there is a train track near me - I try to time it sometimes but it's transport for London mate - about as reliable as a chocolate tea pot!

I can sometimes hear it coming but I'm a little too far to get into position

Even when you are close to the railways, it can be tricky to be airborn on time.
They tend to pass by quickly and it is also nice to catch them from a little bit longer distance.
