Hello drone-community,

Does anybody know how the auto-discharge function works exactly ?
Is there any discharging circuit built in ?
Anybody who tested this already ?  Any hint how you can see if the battery is in self-discharging..?

After the chosen time delay has passed with no button input, the battery enters a slow discharge state.  I am unaware of any official spec detailing the exact nature of the process.  The discharge takes place slowly over a couple days, & the batteries become slightly warm as it occurs.   I always wished DJI would have activated the battery LEDs during auto-discharge so there was a visual indication it was underway.   This would also aid in the discharge.

^ This. Plus the usual warning, do not press the button on the battery to see how it is doing, because it rests the time-to-begin-discharge back to zero again. Another good eason why the battery should use one of the LEDs to tell us it is happening.

Hello there KDP +. Thank  you for reaching out and for sharing these information with us. The DJI Mavic 2 Pro has an Auto-Discharging function to prevent the battery for swelling, the battery automatically discharges to less than 70% of the maximum battery level when it is idle for more than 10 days. It takes approximately three to four days to discharge the said battery to 60%. It is normal to feel moderate heat being emitted from the battery during the discharging process. For additional reference I will post a list for on how to store the intelligent flight battery and safety guidelines. Thank you.
