I mostly use my Osmo Action on a chest mounted gimbal whilst on my ancient mountain bike. The buttons and screen on the camera are difficult to access in this setup so I have a phone holder mounted to the handlebars and control the camera with the app.

Now the problem is that the slider for camera mode is right under the start / stop button and I seem to accidentally change the camera mode when I hit stop and start.

Is there any way to lock the camera mode against such finger presses by old people, or is there another way round this anyone can think of please?

And yes, old people do go mountain biking
