The other day I heard it was not going too well and they were now sort of aiming for a hard brexit if nothing changed on either side.

I think leaving with no deal was always on the cards. Boris won't give in to anything.

It's crazy when you think about it. It's left the UK quite exposed. I agree things needed to tighten up but completely leaving is extreme.

It is rather opportunistic to think leaving is the best way (we have this movement here in NL too, mostly based on something they 'don't' want instead of something the 'do' want)
In reality there are big issues with the EU, but I think it is the only way to stand any chance against the other big blocks in the world.

Indeed it is and my biggest concern. There are sadly some deluded Brits who think we are still an Empire or worse, can be one again. The reality is we’ve just made ourselves weaker and Europe too

Still have some vague hope things won't go that way.
