It was raining since midnight and a only cleared up by noon.
This was our last full day on this site, so I decided to use my chance to do a fly-by video of the rock formations you may have seen on my previous posts.
Unfortunately, my first attempt failed.
I tried to stop taping in attempts to break down a pontentially long video into smaller chunks, but not only it took an ungodly amount of precious flight time to finalize each chunk, it also failed to save those chunks after all, so I ended up with several 0-size files.
I had only one charged battery left, so I decided to make another try and do not stop filming until the very end.
The second attempt went better and managed to save most of the video. Most: because despite the declared 9:28 length I was only able to watch 6:22.
Maybe when downloaded it will be full length, but in any case I got most of what I wanted.
I will need to post process this movie to make it viewable.
In the meantime, here's an out-of-drone pano I took during the first - botched - attempt at the far end of my loop, looking back towards the launch point, which happens to be on the plateau.
