Hi. Thank you for reaching out to DJI forum. With regards to this query. I am sorry to say that the said feature is not supported. Using a third party application may work but we cannot guarantee the stability and compatibility when using the said application to the DJI Osmo Action, kindly please use the recommended application the DJI Mimo for the DJI Osmo Action. Thank you.

Hello,

I'm locking for the same information. I found a windows program called "CosmoViewer", from which you can control the Osmo Action. Have a look at this page:

http://cosmostreamer.com/products/dji-go-windows/

With the help of WireShark you can capture and analyse the wifi-trafik between CosmoViewer and the camera. The problem with CosmoViewer is, that it starts video streaming immediately after connecting to the camera. I asked the makers of the program, if there is a possibility to control the camera without streaming, but till today they didn't answer.

I'll put a copy of a WireShark capture here:

The communication between program and camera begins, where 192.168.2.7 (CosmoViewer) first sends a datagram to 192.168.2.1 (Camera).

Here is a screenshot from the beginning of the session:

Those programmers of CosmoViewer should have the knownledge for making a remote control for the OA...
