Dears, I’m new in drons – Mini is my 1st, Just piloted >20 flights and have permanent problem with limited attitude to 30m and range to 50m. Within or outside warning zone – same thing.

I’m logged in on DJI Fly app, I tried to find how to disable “beginners’ mode” – can not find it.

Any advice, please

Hello have you disabled the payload function in the dji fly app ?

Are you in a geofenced NFZ? Is your drone on the current firmware? Are you flying with a mobile attached to the RC? Have you disabled the payload function?

I'm in Polish territory, firmware checked for updates and ok, nothing attached to drone I use IPhone connected to RC, payload disabled

DJI Fly app gives warning (in yellow): that it limits attitude to 30m and range to 50m but not giving any reason/explanation for it.

or if not in safe flight protection: max altitude and maximum distance what did you put ?

Regardless what i put as limits – normally they are much more then 30 / 50m.

it's an idea but try to put flight and distance to the maximum and do a test

Yellow Flashes four times Preheating.
Yellow Flashes Slowly No GPS or Vision System
lower (ATTI mode)
Yellow Flashes
rapidly losing the radio control signal

NFZ's refers to manned airspace i.e. within a certain distance of an airport.

Yellow means you are in an enhanced warning zone - that typically means you are able to take off but the flight may be restricted as you are too close to an NFZ. May be an airport, military base, prison, powerplant or some other sensitive area.

sorry I misunderstood I thought it was the drone that flashed yellow. :/

Did you fly with the propeller guard on? If yes, then the height and distance will be limited.

normally yes but i also have same problem completely out of NFZ  checked on 2 different maps

Generally the following will cause it - so check off each one to trouble shoot the problem:

-Flying in a restricted geo zone such as an altitude zone
-Flying with just the RC and no phone/tablet
-Flying in beginner mode
-Being on an outdated version of firmware whereby the latest version was mandatory to update
-Outdated version of the Fly app
-Using an older device that is not fully compatible
-Connectivity issues between the RC and device
-Having the distance settings set too low in the app
-Having the payload function enabled
or
-Malfunction with the drone - reinstall the app and refresh the firmware then calibrate the IMU and compass

If you have ticked off all of that and still experience the same issue then it may be best to return the drone to DJI under warranty for replacement. Good luck.

Thanks to all of You, found solution! Inspired by 'Flying with just the RC and no phone/tablet' I have checked my Phone settings and set 'background App Refresh' ON - start to work properly now.
