The late sculptor Louis Derbré is well known in these parts. Many of his larger works are still on open display around the town where he worked from his large atelier.
This one dominates the bypass running beside the largest park exhibiting his works.
Sadly, since his death, large areas of the park and some of the exhibits
are beginning to suffer the ravages of time and neglect.

Yes. Louis Derbré was a local character whose work could be "unusual" let's say. I met him at his workshop/showroom just before he died in 2011.  There are examples of his work dotted about the town of Ernée.

Indeed. Judging from the stuff lying about I suspect that it's a nocturnal hangout for substance abusers, and other clandestine activities. It's a great shame.
