Anyone know if the P3 will have way point flying like the P2+?

Damn, I thought it was tomorrow! Are you sure that it's the day after tomorrow? My brother in laws, sisters friend knows the guys that works for the delivery company that ships the parts for the company that makes the GPS antenna wire that they're using on the Solo and that guy knows a guy named Dave over at DJI and my brother in law said Dave told the guy over at Solo that waypoints would be out tomorrow. I don't think it could be any more concrete than that. Oh well, I guess we'll find out tomorrow or the next day. Have fun free-flying until then!

Just messing around! Supposedly DJI has plans for a Ground Station feature but I don't think anyone is expecting to see one very soon. The 3rd party developers have it but there have been a few issues with the SDK and the P3 firmware.

Go to google play store and search dji ultimate flight v3. It's in beta and $10 and u gotta install specific firmware to use it but it's there and working pretty good from what I been reading

Make sure you read about the app before buying it so you know how to get the firmware, and it only works on the p3 professional and inspire 1

Damn Dave, we got it the first time! It's probably nothing serious, just the new firmware. I think if you just do a reboot you should be fine. Sounds kind of like you got stuck at a waypoint and you had to spin around a bit before deciding what direction you needed to go. Just took a few attempts to figure it out!

Ok thanks all, I have to say though the last time I read something that confusing I was reading about the Roswell crash. I hope waypoint come out soon for the P3, I will buy then

Flew a few waypoint flights today with my P3! Last one was 10 waypoints, 13,000' round trip, 100' altitude. The 3rd party developers are getting real close! Not quite ready for prime-time but very close. Same with POI, tested that today as well. You should be seeing, stable retail versions, showing up soon. All Android stuff at this point.

The new SDK makes waypoints unlimited. I haven't tried anything beyond 16 yet but have been told that there is no limit now. We will have to be very careful as we only have so much battery life. It will be nice for very rounded journeys.
