Because they can. It's like holding a steak in front of a dog.   A serious answer is DJI likes to do a gradual rollout in case there are any issues with the release.

OK, installed from apkmirror... Must uninstall previous DJI Fly version before.
Ask for updating batteries (MA2).

Thought IOS usually update first!  Welcome addition regardless.  Not an available update in the UK on IOS at the moment.

Not available in the Apple App Store in the US yet either.

There is still something to be desired from this app.
Please DJI , add an option to shoot ONLY in RAW, we do not have to duplicate the files and buy huge cards due to this misunderstanding.
And add the option to save the panoramas in separate folders, as in the old Air 1 application.
As far as I can see now, the application only assembles them and does not give any options and freedom to the people .
THIS IS A HUGE MISUNDERSTANDING !!!!
FIX IT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE !!!!

Has anyone received the 1.1.6 update from the Google Play store on or after August 1? Air Photography posted a video on the 1.1.6 update and he showed two additions that are not in the 1.1.6 release I installed from apkmirror.com. The two features are a "Safety Assistance Mode" (1:10 in video) and user selectable APAS behavior (2:10 in video). Perhaps these are only available for the iOS version.

Its really the worst update ever regarding the battery information. How could DJI hide the voltage and temperature informations in a 2nd level submenu and block the possibility to show these important information during flight constantly??? The battery percent value is nothing more than an estimation which you never should trust. The battery temperature should be always visible especially on hot summer days. Just good that I can downgrade in Android to 1.1.5 but I´m really sorry for the iphone guys ;)

I watched YT first and I agree, I like the 115 ver. battery submenu more. Temperature and cell voltage is important for me so I'm not rushing to upgrade at the moment...

Arrived this morning 7th Aug - happy - No firmware update though as yet here.

I've seen several people note they had issues with Yaw Smoothness not working in Normal mode.  I have a 6s iPhone and I have the same problem.  No yaw smoothness throughout the entire range of the slider...just an abrupt stop when I come off the control.  Surprisingly, I was in Pano last night (still in Normal mode) and yaw smoothness was working when I repositioned the MA2 for each new Pano.  

Mine update early this morning. Looking forward to exploring the update and seeing if any apply to the Mini. It looks like the gimble mods are only applicable to the MA2.

Well, since that device is not on the approved list, it may not be available for direct installation yet (or maybe forever). One of my tablets that was not on the list installed ok on the last version but not on this one. I suspect the Play store is more rigidly enforcing compatibility now. In any event I got the apk and did it manually.

For a few flights till now with the new update i noticed that my connection become worse.The drone (Mavic Mini) disconnects from the RC a lot and on a mid range around 100 meters above my head.Anyone with such a conclusions?In area that i have never notice any problems,now it disconnects often,lost signal,lost RC connection even one time RC disconnects from the phone.

I have updated twice my MA2 with no luck. New features do not appear in the options, and says all firmware is up to date.

I just checked on Google Play under my Fly app and it shows that 1.1.6 is installed, BUT when I launch the app and go to 'about' it shows as 1.1.5 with none of the new features showing up. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have the 1.1.5 apk downloaded on my Samsung tablet as there isnt the app like on my Samsung Note cell phone.  It will not let me install the latest version 1.1.6.  Do I need to delete the older version?
