one of many old fortres ruins in Croatia. This one is well preserved, dating back in XIII century.
very easy to visit eather by foot or vehicle.
perfect day for shooting, not bright sunlight, not strong winds
check out more footage of similar fortreses on my YT channel.
thanks guys...
all old fortreses I`ve visited, were build on hill peak, probably to have better survaillance of surrounding area and aproaching enemies...but to some location is very difficult to get even today aldo some paths are reconstructed for tourist to visit...imagine in those days how hard it must be with full armor and weaponary!
@tentoes - yeah, some ruins get their "medicine" to keep them "young". but for some fortreses there are no shematics from the past so we do not know how did they looked originaly back then.
on some were added aditional walls or towers as situation of that time required.
out ancestors didn`t pay much attention for
cultural heritage...for them it was important to keep their head on top of the shoulders.
check out this video:
it`s a matter of years until those walls collapse ...unfortunatly no reconstrucions are in sight...
well I have a lot more to discover and filmed since Croatia is full of such ruins cause of its turbulant past.
