Getting your video from drone to PC

I am posting this on a few boards as I want several thoughts on how people get this done.

I want the most functional way to get this job done.

So the microSD is in your drone.
One option is connect your drone to your PC which works but not simple enough IMO

But where do you put the card when you take it out of your drone.
I do not have a laptop with a microSD slot.

ATM I take out the card and stick it in a small USB key, then put the key in a usb slot on the PC.
Then find the usb drive and copy the files to the designated folder on my NAS (via the PC)
It's not functional and is fiddly!

I have ordered a little box with a microSD slot connected to  a USB 3 slot in my PC.
(UGREEN 15CM All in 1 USB 3.0 Card Reader Support 256G for SD TF Memory Card- USB 3.0)
This will sit permanately on my desk ready at anytime to have a card inserted.

So how do u get your media from drone to PC?

Take the micro sd card out of the drone when turned off. Place the card in something like a SanDisk 3.0 reader, put the reader in the computer and import the files. Very fast upload.

Hello there Spikemixture. Thank you for reaching out and for these information. As A J posted on post #2. It would be best to remove the SD card from your DJI drone and use a card reader on your PC for you to be able to retrieve the photos and videos that you wanted. Thank you and fly safe always.

I presume that is aimed at me.

Mine is a no name key with a slot in the side to put the microSD card.

Doing a search on Amazon for "usb microSD"  gets several like mine.

It works but I like efficiency hence this topic..

Please read my post- twice or more.

I really try to make my questions as clear as possible.

I have a USB adapter and it is inefficient and 'fiddly'

Taking a tiny piece of plastic from behind a door on a drone putting in another small USB thing and then find a hole to stick the tiny thing into your PC is not efficient IMO.

Taking the card out is unavoidable unless I connect the drone directly which is an ugly option.

Guys with laptops with a MicrSD slot probably have it the best.  But not an option for me..
