Not so here. The Mayenne facility above the small hydro-electric dam is deserted.

Like you I was sat in the shade under trees, whilst the M2Z did its stuff.Crossing the widest part of the river to the village beyond is around a kilometre, but the signal never faltered once, and the imagery received on the smartphone I'm using as a monitor was crystal clear - no break-up or pixellation.

I've always stuck with Android.  A Nexus 7 originally, then the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8" for my Phantom 4. It just about fits the jaws of the Mavic Pro Platinum controller, but I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 for the Mavic Mini ( since the RC for that doesn't have a Standard USB port).  The M2Zoom can take either, but I've stuck with the S7 for that too.

My wife uses Android but I am well and truly sucked into the ecosystem of Apple and have been for 12 years (iPhones, iPads, MacBooks). Despite my love of flying drones I am not very techy and Apple is just well, easy and secure.

I have no problems with the S7. It just works.  The S2 is very pernickety and the USB always defaults to MTP protocol from bootup, which won't work with the DJI Controllers.  I had no end of trouble with the P4 before someone here on the forum directed me to the work-around. It involved switching to Developer Mode and forcing RNDIS each time, but it only takes a few seconds and generally works fine.

I don't blame them,  were really not going out anywhere apart from the family shop, everything else is either online ordered or using the outside pickup services some stores are doing.   And still like most of mainland Europe our new cases are starting to climb again.
