If I understand your response, if you are using something like the ND32 and greater, it's going to be too dark to fly. I hadn't really thought about that because I haven't got to the spot where I'd like a long exposure yet but that is a super point.
My point though, only on Billie's set is, it's $50 or so and 1/2 of it is overlap if you have the Fly Combo. In addition, ND8 is great for sunny days, but early mornings, late afternoon, and partly to completely cloudy days will want an ND4. The F-Stop 6 filter set with only 1 overlapping filter is $40!
Whatever you do though, don't get the Freewell 3 filter Gradient set. It is horrible! The lowest filter is an ND8 but it's really more like an ND2, maybe ND 2.5 to ND3 (yes, I know that's not a thing but it's definitely not the strength of an ND4). The set is virtually useless. because you get 1 stop between the tip top of the frame and the middle. It's just not enough to do anything worth $70. |
