The Basillica at Pontmain was built around 1872 at a pilgrimage site in NW France. It is a magnificent
building, in what was a quiet little village in the 19th century.  It is, of course, in a no-fly zone.
This shot was taken from the nearest point I could legally reach, with the Mavic PP.
Now that I have the M2Zoom I intend to revisit the spot for a more detailed picture or two.

Round to the front face of the building. I calculated how near I could legally fly from Google Earth and the DGAC interactive website. I may have put a toe over the red line, but no more

Since it's on the official website I guess so.  Lucky blighter    There is a clause in the French regulations, which allows the proprietor of a property within a red zone to overfly it, or give permission to a third party to do so, with supervision. The drone MUST stay within the boundaries of the property.  I doubt that any proprietor of a sensitive area (near airport, prisons etc) would ever grant that permission for obvious reasons.

Amazing images Captain. I have visited  geoportail  . Many areas of interest are prohibited. I think there are areas where they should limit the altitude but not totally prohibit the flight.
