No, it physically prevents the drone from being rolled left and right and uses APAS to steer itself in those directions - in the absence of side sensors it will help pilots not to crash. Also ideal for wanting to fly in a strictly forward or backward straight line on something like a long range test. If you accidentally push the pitch stick forward and slightly to the left or right it will only fly straight. I used it yesterday and just flew the drone towards a hedge knowing there was an opening to the left - it automatically steered itself - with the zoom feature on too it looked like I was about to crash but could see there was clearance and it flew over. It's a cool feature. |
