I thought that High Sierra and FCPX could now handle importing and editing H.265 10 bit D-Log from the Mavic 2 Pro? The clips all appear as black with no video when I try to import from the SD card. Am I missing something?
l understand I should edit using Proxy, but can't even get them into FCPX.
I can convert to H.264 using Handbrake and then can import converting to ProRes 422 into FCPX, but unsure of what best settings to use in Handbrake. Plus, it seems like a lot of extra steps and time.
Thank you.
MacOS 10.13.6
FCPX 10.4.6

When you import,  make sure you select Create Proxy Media, it will take longer to import but you'll be able to edit the footage.

Thanks but this doesn't really address my issue. I know how to use proxies. As I stated, FCPX does not see anything to import. It's all black. Can't import nothing. The unedited clips play in Quicktime just fine.
