As the title suggests, Sunspot group 2371 produced an M class flare and a powerful CME (Coronal Mass Ejection)  directed exactly towards Earth.  The plasma stream is expected to impact Earth around 12.00 UTC on 22/06/2015.  This event is very likely to send the KP index skyward, (Excuse the pun) so if you are intending to fly tomorrow and the next couple of days, you should monitor the KP index and take it into account when flying in GPS mode.

I've got an app called Drone on my android, gives KP etc.

For IOS the app is called HOVER. KP index is one of the first things I check before I even think about flying. I know that, in case of GPS signal loss, you can always go to ATI but I prefer not to. So if the KP index is 5 and above my Inspire is grounden
