Thus far, the story is just that, a story.
Started out a reporter on AF-1 saw an small unknown object flying below AF-1; as AF-1 was landing.
After landing reporter said object resembled a drone.
As story flows through the Fake news, the small UFO is referenced more and more as a drone.
Fake news, needing new click-bait, add that AF-1 flew "right over" the drone.
Which is further modified to a "near hit" by drone on AF-1.
Along with AF-1 "nearly being struck by drone". Fake story moving to drone targeting AF-1.
Officially, the Pentagon, White House, FAA, and likely a few other agencies are still investigating.
No official word as to what small unknown flying object was. Could have been a shaped party balloon, could have been a bird, could have been anything wind could lift and blow around.
Even if it was a drone, it does not mean the drone was being flown by a hobbyist. Drones are being used by military and law enforcement for recon and surveillance.
Knowing how inept our government agencies can be, and how security clearances do not cross over between agencies (or military); it could all come down to - Left-hand not knowing what Right-hand was doing. And due to embarrassment / repercussions we may never know or hobbyists will be scapegoat to blame. |
