One bruised elbow. To the annoying stage not the painful stage.

I've never been trained in falling, but I pop up relatively unharmed. I wonder if I learned to handle my body in all those years of gymnastics and trampoline as a kid.

At least you didn't appear to bang your head. That might have been more serious. A bruised elbow is a much lighter scenario. Get well soon. The gymnastics training maybe subconsciously helped

I'm usually more successful at that. But sometimes!

I had already crossed once and was returning to get the camera. Notice my drone bag on the rock behind me.



I HATE being in wet clothes. On original 4k footage, you can see water dripping from my pants legs in the take off shot.

Yes, on sunny warm days, the place can be full of kids. There are two nice swimming holes. I call the place, "Falling Teens" because teens love to jump from the rocks into the water.

This is "Bluestem Falls" just off of "Bluestem Lake" near Pawhuska Oklahoma. I have a few videos I've shot there:

The nearby city Tulsa, is about 40 miles from here and has LOTS of interesting places to visit. You might hit Turkey Mountain, a nice place for hiking.

You're very welcome.  Just happy you didn't get hurt.  Glad you didn't edit the fall out, it makes the video more real life.  I've taken a few falls on rocks while out fishing in creeks and streams so I know what its like.

Okay, that would make sense how your muscle memory kicked in and you just popped up.
