We're having issues with the smart Controller, there's no update (even after a factory reset).


Connected to wifi, no update shows up.


The smart Controller won't show up connected to a Windows computer with DJI Assistant 2 either. The drone (M300) will connect and update fine with computer.


I've tried multiple cables as well.


Not sure how to get the controller to update.

And make sure the driver has been installed successfully. Besides, you may try to connect to a different computer, see if this helps.

The controller is version 1.00.0007.

Where do I download the latest driver? I have the latest DJI assistant installed.

Hi there, you may check the DJI Smart Controller Release Notes here:
https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/ ... tes_EN_20200423.pdf, the 01.00.0700 is already the latest firmware version of the Smart Controller.

By the way, when you download the DJI Assistant 2 For Mavic from the website: https://www.dji.com/smart-controller/downloads and mount it on your computer, the driver will be downloaded automatically.

for DJI assistant to work, usb must be on but you can't choose the settings as you might think...just went through updating 2 and had this very issue. Lauch assistant, connect the controller while on, then select the usb from the pull down and click it then ignore the prompt on the controller...a bit counter intuitive. Similar issues with battery charger - connect then launch controller and it will recognize - would not recognize by just connecting while on. Go to HMS if prompt doesn't show in upper left
