Yes mate - it’s stunning up here. These shots were taken near to where we’re staying - just outside Matlock on the southeast edge - I’m heading out at 7 in the morning with a couple of batteries as drove past a beautiful Heath on our way back from Chatsworth House today. Obviously no flying at Chatsworth!

Chatsworth is magnificent, You might get a flight nearer to Edensor ( or what's left of it) You may know that that village was demolished so as to not interrupt the views from Chatsworth?

And the petrifying wells at Matlock Bath are worth a look.  There used to be an open-air rollerskating rink opposite - but it's many a year since we last went, it may be closed down now.

I can imagine. It is an unbelievable house. One that would make a King and Queen envious! Amazing that it is still owned and occupied by the Duke of Devonshire. It took us 45 minutes to walk around one wing! Now I know why he’s worth £800million! What a building.

If you want to taste a real Bakewell pudding (not a tart, they'll tell you!) that village is a bit further north, and on the way is Haddon Hall.  I'm going to hit the sack now, it's Wednesday already Enjoy your stay.

Haha - we had lunch at Bakewell on our way to Chatsworth - lovely little town. Had my wife and son with me so I couldn’t pull over and fly with my three year old boy in the back of the car but will be heading out for a couple of hours on my own in the morning
