I have a Spark lying around for a bit more than one year without using it. It worked normally before.

When I put the battery to the charging station, the station goes red.

When I put the battery into the spark and connect the spark to the power, then it starts blinking.

Battery 1: 4 times led1, then led2, then stop. After that it repeats with a hort break in between.
Battery 2: led1, led2, led3, led4, off, led1, led2, led3, led4, off, led1 - then it starts over after a short break

What does those different led codes tell me?

I opened one of the batteries and measured the cell-voltage. This was about 3.0-3.1 Volts. I charged those cells one by one up to now 4.05, 4,03 and 4.2 Volts.

Do those batteries really die that fast? In the manual is stated that they will discharge after not being user for 10 days and then stay on the 60% charge level. In theory this sounds great.

I would like to understand what happened. Of course I can buy new batteries - I already ordered one. I would even like to buy a new drone. But when I read the forums, I read about many battery problems and because of that I am a bit disappointed by DJI.

Any solutions on that? Any information about that LED-codes?

hattest du die Akkus evtl mit geringer Kapazität gelagert? die automatische Entladung auf 60% funktioniert natürlich nur wenn der Akku vor Lagerung eine höhere Akkukapazität aufweist als eben diese 60%

ich will jetzt nicht meine Hand dafür ins Feuer legen, aber ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass die fast voll waren. Der letzte Einsatz der Drohne war in Italien und da habe ich Stress mit den Einheimischen bekommen kurz nachdem ich die Drohne ausgepackt hatte und gestartet bin. Damals hatte ich die Sachen gefrustet in den Schrank gestellt und seitdem nicht mehr gross dran gedacht.

dann wird das so gewesen sein leider :-( bei einer Lagerkapazität von c.a. 20% - 80% passiert den Akkus i.d.R. nichts..bei mehr als 60% gehts halt nur irgendwann runter auf 60% aber unter 20% kann die Spannung auf Dauer leider nicht aufrecht erhalten werden und die Akkus erleiden Defekte..
kaufst du dir neue Akkus oder verkaufst du deine Spark nun?

Wie gesagt .. unter 20 Prozent kann ich eigentlich ausschliessen zumal die Zellspannung der Einzelzellen ja noch hoch genug war,

Ich kaufe jetzt erstmal einen Akku, der kommt morgen. Dann teste ich erstmal ob die Drohne überhaupt noch geht.

Dann werde ich sie wohl verkaufen und mir was Neues kaufen. Aber ich habe noch nicht so die Drohne gefunden, die mir gefallen würde.

Und DJI bin ich erstmal skeptisch gegenüber grade. 2 Akkus, die trotz akzeptabler Zellspannung nur Blinkcodes von sich geben, welche nirgends dokumentiert sind - das ist unschön.
Ich habe hier Tablets, die auch mal 3 Jahre in der Ecke lagen und noch gehen.

Anyway, ich habe den Akku mit der 4-4-1 Blinksequenz den ganzen Tag schon in der Drohne und am Strom. Mittlerweile hat sich die Blinksequenz auf 3-3-3 geändert.
Was auch immer das bedeutet ... Ich hoffe ja mal er macht nur n Balancing. Ich hatte vor einiger Zeit schonmal so n Gerät, das am Anfang 3 Tage mit Balancing beschäftigt war bevor alles sauber funktionierte. Ich weiss nur ehrlich gesagt nicht mehr, was das war. Ich glaube aber das war der Typhoon H.

was möchtest du für dein Set haben?
Mein Nachbar sucht noch eine, evtl. hätte der dann Interesse daran..
Er ist auf den Geschmack gekommen, als ich mit meiner Spark meine Regenrinnen inspiziert hab :-)

Im Wohngebiet fliegen? Mein Nachbar würde mir was husten. Der hat damals schon mit der Polizei gedroht and die Typhoon H in Richtung seines Hauses geflogen ist weil die Automatik gesponnen hat.

Gib mir mal Zeit bis der Akku da ist und ich prüfen konnte ob das Gerät noch mehr Fehler hat.

in Richtung eines fremden Grundstücks/Hauses fliegen ist ja auch verboten..aber sein eigenes Haus inspizieren bzw. auf seinem eigenen Grundstück starten ist definitiv nicht verboten, da kann mir auch keiner was husten ;-) Ich mach das jedes Jahr mindestens 1x.

Hi. I am sorry for the trouble this has caused. With regards to this concern. Since the battery was stored for a long time it may have been over discharged which may damage the battery cells inside. For more information regarding this matter please refer to the image posted below. Thank you.

BUT: The cells are definitely not dead. I tested them, they are able to charge and decharge and they have enough capacity.
It is the electronic which is playing games.

This is somehow very frustrating since I bought this copter long ago for the holiday in Italy. I flew there just a few times and then stored it away. After the text above, the batteries should have entered hybernation and all should be fine. Just reload and go. But as I said, the electronics is fooling me.

I need someone to tell me what those blinking lights want to tell me.

I have to do with batteries very often. And I recharged many of them from dead state. Not all are coming back healthy, but those are.

Ok, many tries with the support, but no definite answer.

I opened one of the batteries and disassembled it to test pouches and electronics seperately.

Pouches - that are the actual cells - are working fine and can be charged / discharged without problems.

I balanced them - no effect. Still no chance to power on.
I reloaded them a few times - no effect.
I tried different charge states - no effect.

I tried the electronics with other cells - no effect.

Every time some blinking codes and DJI does not tell me what those want to tell me.

So I am a bit disappointed. This thing reminds me of cheap ink printers. Cheap to buy but very expensive if you need new ink.

So I will try another company now.
