My setup is a P3a 2.7K camera and aircraft is model W322. I use an Ipad Air for my display. My problem is I get poor quality video on my display, and screen will flash black and with choppy video at times with terrible lag at times. Ive tried turning hardware decoding on and off and cannot recognize much difference. I keep the channels on auto. What steps can I take to make the image better for filming and capturing still frames? Also, what editing software does anyone suggest to use?

Welcome brianeeberhardt  !!  About lag in mobile devices : Many of us use airplane mode on our devices to avoid unwanted internal processes below while flying , I advise you to try it
Pd: Try to fly in open areas free of interference, even away from vehicles and aim correctly

Can I know which SD card you use for your device?

The iPad is likely to be your problem.
The iPad Air was released way back in 2013 and it just isn't able to cope with the demands of teh DJI Go app.
You need a more recent and powerful tablet.
