The Peak District in Derbyshire, England, has some stunning scenery, particularly in the Hign Peak around Kinder Scout and Mam Torr.
In the very Northwest of the County, Cown Edge dominates the views towards those hills and, in the opposite direction. looks down on
Greater Manchester. It's known locally as 'The Nab'.

Morning AJ. Thanks. I shot that flight in DLOG, and rather wish I hadn't. I've not been able to master the software to improve the colours. I used one of the DJI LUTs but it doesn't seem to have made much difference.  I shall have to do the flight again with the M2Z when we're next in the UK. The original was with the P4.

Morning mate. Still looks great! I very rarely record in D-Log and D-cinelike for that reason. It takes quite a bit of editing skills (and a lot of time) to get the colours perfect. I find post editing really boring

I tend to agree. To my eye, the results obtained from the drone on auto-settings are very often acceptable.

Yeah, I use to be obsessed with the 180 rule, rule of thirds and manually setting ISO to 100, aperture and shutter speeds to create the perfect motion blur but TBH I leave everything on auto these days with the MA2 and most of the footage actually looks better. Now I focus more on the speed of the pans, the flight and the subject rather than the motion, light and colours as the drone handles that well enough.

Great footage Captain! The same thing happens to me as [AJ], I prefer a good snapshot than video editing work, although you can see very good work around here.

Yeah. I think, in general, the default setting provided by DJI do a pretty decent job.  The purists and editing experts are welcome to sweat the extra work involved

Thanks QQ. I don't mind basic editing (cutting out the bad bits and so on) but the colour grading and other adjustments never seem to work for me - I haven't become adept enough in those skills.

First of all if you use D-log allways over exposure. (0,3, 0,7) Not more
what style are you using? I use 0 -1 -1 as style on the Mavic and it works great for me at least.

In Davinci ALWAYS create a new node (ALT S on PC CMD S on mac) If you don't do this then the rest will fail.

Apply your LUT on the second node, be aware of that there is Several ones.
I use this one. (have some more if this one don't work)

Now you have the first thing in place.

Create a new node

Fix WB, shadows and highlights (i do contrast here also but you can do that in a separate node if you want to).

If needed add a last node for sharpness.

Voila.

Now I've grasped the significance of NODES, thanks to your explanation, I've been able to get some colour correction into this video clip. I used the standard DJI LUT for the Phantom 4 and some tweaking of my own.  There is definitely much more colour now (see the clip) but some of it looks artificial and, although I've reduced the brightness it seems to have traded off against contrast on the rock face.  Any further observations to help me out Flybee?  TIA.
