We just upgraded our vision+ to a 4K setup. If you own a gopro hero 4/3, you could consider to mod your current vision plus camera to H4/3-3D + Gopro 4/3 4K setup.

Tested it yesterday and worked fine with Vision or SDK app. Here is video made by this setup:

How much will this conversion cost?  I think it might be cheaper in the long run to just buy the P3.

Hi, if you already had a gopro camera, a H3/4-3D only costs $299.

If you take this into consideration then it may be quite cheap. I'm gonna quote AUD prices.
Sell your used existing P2V+ camera and gimbal and you may get $300-$500
Use that money to purchase a H4/H3-3D gimbal and a $10 conversion cable.
If you already own a gopro, then you shouldn't need to factor in the cost of the gopro =$0. You need to remember that you can remove the gopro and utilize it somewhere else. If you use the DJI proprietary camera, you are basically stuck and always at DJI's mercy if you damage the camera if something was to go pear shape.

I have a P2V+ V3. I have done a couple of mods to it.
The fish eye lens on the DJI camera drives me absolutely nuts, I hate it.
I would love to replace the DJI camera with a Gopro.
I would need to buy the Gopro also.
300 for the gimbal
400 for the camera I don't care about 4k yet.
Yeah if I could sell my DJI camera and gimbal for 400-500 bucks this would not be too bad in my opinion.
Get rid of my fish eye for 200-400 bucks.
Could I still tilt the camera?
Could I turn on/off video and take pictures from the transmitter?
What else do I need to know?
Who has the conversion cable?
I'm not a pro pilot or photographer, I just really don't like the fish eye lens.
I don't know anything about the H4/H3-3D gimbal. I would love to get a retractable landing gear and be able to pan and tilt the camera.
Am I dreaming?

yes using the remote channel 7, you could control the pitch rotation.  To mod your Vision+, you could get more info at http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/s ... 2213815&page=17

I'm tapping out now.  This makes no sense.  You could sell your used P2V+ for $700 and add $500 and buy the better technology, better cam, etc.  Why go through this mod at all.  You all continue the thread, i'm out.

It does make sense since first I stated that "if you own a gopr hero4/3."

so if I own a gopro hero4/3,  I only need to pay ~$200 for a h4/3-3d gimbal.
