Someone on RCGroups said it actually stayed on down to 4.5 volts so I think I'll be ok. I'll test it out on the ground first just to be sure.

It won’t reach its power levels on 4.5V. 2s is Minimum. Always power the vista unit from a bec, never battery voltage. The spikes in voltage tend to destroy the UART.
