That sucks. I wish I could say it in a better way, but yeah that just sucks.

Man, too bad. Get a new one, keep the old for spare parts. Keep the battery and sell the controller to offset the cost. Thats the best advice I can offer. Sorry buddy.  

Csc would have restarted the motors..  And once restarted it would have righted itself..  I had a bird hit the top of my F450 and that stopped its motors 80 meters up and it started tumbling, so I did the csc and pushed the throttle stick to 100% and Naza-m v2 saved the day..  So I would assume it would work on the p3 too since its flight controller is a glorified newer version of dji's Naza-m

Good point. In fact, the controller is quite expensive to buy as a spare part.

However, I imagine there will be quite a few used remote controllers for sale from crashed P3s...
