I've had my MA2 for just 3 days. I tested putting the craft in front of me, facing me, and going into Trace Active Track. As I walked towards the craft, it will back up, essentially recording me from the front (with my face) not trailing me (recording my back). I tried the same thing on my bicycle today and it worked as long as I had started the craft maybe 60 feet in front of me and I was in a straight line (and I wasn't going faster than maybe 5mph). Once I either got under the craft or made a turn, it went back to following me.

Is there a way to keep the craft in front of me using AT or is that mode mostly designed to follow?

Hi. Thank you for reaching out to DJI Forum. With regards to this matter. The DJI Mavic Air 2 's trace mode will track the subject at a constant distance. The drone may move left or right depending on the subject to maintain track at a contact distance, Thank you.
