Basically what the title says. DJI had a poster + timer countdown for 09.09.2020 for a Ronin reveal.

Is it cancelled, or is it still going to happen?

DJI had an announcement timer countdown planned for 09.09.2020, but now it was replaced. Is it still going to happen, or is it cancelled?

But I think that's the actual launch, not the product reveal. I'm hoping that they will still reveal specs, price, and more info on 09.09.2020!

That's not normally how they do these launches, but I don't know.

Yeah I think all of it is pushed back to October. I'm just frustrated that I've been holding off from buying a gimbal for 2 months, and now I have to wait another month. Hoping the new SC2 replaces the old Ronin S at a good price!

Yeah, from the rumor leaks, it looks like the RS2 will be able to handle some good sized cinema cameras.  It will be interesting to see what the capabilities of the 2nd one is going to be.  Hopefully the continue the theme of the latest OM4 with increasing the power of the motors in each of the gimbals to make it easier to handle more cameras and lenses.

Apart from power, it would be great to see more camera clearance on the updated SC2. Its literally the only problem with the current SC: small camera clearance resulting in cameras hitting the back motor with longer lenses.

If the SC2 takes place of the old Ronin S,  a lot of people would be happy with being able to balance a decent pro setup on an average gimbal. If the pricing is done right (just like the old Ronin S is priced right now at €499), DJI can easily win customers over from Zhiyun.
