My Mini is missed the woods. I started from my country house and was flyling stright ahead cocurse 330 from exact point 55.960456, 36.498289. After ~7 sec after the start I've heard 'home point has been updated'. After 10 more seconds the connection was lost, battery level at this point was 82%. The drone was far above any trees, no wind and anything else. DJI Fly says the last drone location was 55.962116 36.497292.  

I think the drone is now somewhere in between 55.960456, 36.498289 and 55.962116 36.497292 (~200 meters distance in between).


I believe after the connection was lost there were two options:


1. The drone somewhat broken and fallen/tried to land at the exact point of last contact:  55.960456, 36.498289

2. The drone run almost out of battery and returned to home point and landed there

It is my fault that I started flying before the home point was set. But what can I do now? How can I find what was set as home point?

I tried to find the drone in the woods, but it's better to have some places to focus your search.

If the drone was within 20 meters of the new homepoint when the connection was lost it would have just landed where it was.

That is what happened.
The home point was set at 1:01 and that is where the drone would have attempted to return to on RTH.
The location of the home point was:  55.96210   36.49730
This is only a few metres from the last recorded position.
Perhaps it's hung up in trees?

HP (yellow marker in chart) was set after1m2s in flight.
So if RTH did worked OKE (why not) than look at this position.

Couple of questions:

What RTH height did you set and was that higher than the trees?
Would the drone have travelled more than 20 meters after the hompoint was set? if not it would have landed where it was and could be within  a 20 meter radius of homepoint.

RTH height was set to 30m and there are no such trees.

The connection was lost, so no idea what happened after this, but I get the point - thanks!

Hi,

You are right, last recorded position 2.3 meters away from HP. RTH height setting 59 meters.
So it landed at the last recorded postion.

pdidenko have your tried the find my drone function?  if its still on  it will beep to alert you to its location

It was lost three weeks ago. But it disappear  completely  once  missed - there  were no chances to use 'find my drone'

I hope you are able to find your drone.
Always make sure home point is updated before flying off somewhere.  My standard practice.  Power up the Mini.  Wait for it to get GPS lock.  Take off into hover.  Wait for home point to update.  Only then, go flying.
