I'm not sure if this solution has been discussed here already but I know like myself, many have been plagued with the compass orientation being very inaccurate in your DJI app.
It was always an on and off issue with my cell phone but once I got my iPad mini generation 5 Wi-Fi model (which doesn't come with GPS capabilities) it got much worse.
I found a permanent solution by pairing your device to a GPS receiver. I bought one by a company called Dual (model XGPS150A) which I have thoroughly tested in the field and it works perfectly!!  It connects to your iOS or android device via Bluetooth. You can wear it with the provided wristband like a watch so that it's always in close proximity to your device.  The root of your compass orientation issue is the inferior cell phone GPS receiver and/or and the lack of one in your Wi-Fi iPad/tablet. An external GPS receiver will 100% correct this issue.
