Nah, in the pits of the flying field take off/landing area next to a couple of gents flying their Mavic Mini for the first time. I have the blue side of the PGY tech advanced landing pad in front of me and my Peak Design backpack Zip stood up next to me.

Yep, a flying field for the use of model aircraft and drones. Strict rules but as long as you stick to them then you'll be fine. I've been there three times now without any issues at all - great place to fly.

It's a model aircraft field so you'll find a mix of RC planes, heli's and drones there.

The local model aircraft field to me don't like drones,  they're purists.  But they do have a lot of jet engine models that fly there.  Lots of red arrow replica's.

Check the rules and see who owns the land - what they 'like' and what is legally permitted to be flown there are often two separate things. If it's a public field not owned by a club then they can wait their turn

Its a private club,  they did dedicate a separate field for fpv but as yet Ive not seen it used.

Let them get on with it mate - old school people not worth your time. The few RC fields I use are very much mixed and Richmond Park make a specific statement that the flying field includes drones. There is no pecking order there.
