still no improved visibility of top line!!!

The only  - improvement - is an add. bottom-field, showing remaining SD-card capacity. But this figure are far too big
and too prominent.
Would be much better to have an information about white-balance status instead.

Just updated the fly app to 1.1.8 on iOS and booted up the MA2.
It now also shows the video res and frame rate above the remaining time remaining on the micro sd card or the number of photos remaining to take and whether JPEG /+ RAW.
The other thing I've noticed is that the remote ID in the safety section now auto disables rather enables on starting up the drone. That's cool as was quite annoying disabling it before every flight.  

What are you having a problem with on top line, looks perfect to me.

What are you having a problem with on top line, looks perfect to me.

everybody (including me) complaining the bad visibilty of the white figures of the top line,
especially when having bright background on the screen, e.g. sky etc.
It would be so easy just to have a white background in the top line and black figures.

Didn't they fix it with new battery icons in the last update? Not good enough?

no, what I am missing is a clear visible indication, how many sats are available.
Battery icon is better now.
I also want a clear indication, whether I am in AWB or manual white balance.
This is currently hidden deep in the settings and a wrong WB has ruined quite often my
recordings.

I have to say I find fly app completely clean of confusion and everything visible. I think requests to put black bars as backgrounds is a mistake and will not improve anything. As someone said battery has been improved which is good , but I don’t see much need for more confusion. Just my opinion.

That black bar is not needed and it obstructs view. The sat icon already turns red if it is dangerously low. I do agree they should bring out the WB.

I just want them to somehow fix this top line issue. It's a pain in the arse
On holiday in Cornwall last week and hell could I see the sats? No, had to crouch behind a wall to even see distance and altitude. Ffs dji, get your finger out or will I have to only fly on cloudy days? People have been asking for this ever since the MM first came out. I know dji doesnt really care, but, perhaps humour us for once?

Does anyone know if this update is only available outside the US?  I'm only seeing 1.1.6 in the US?

Rollout always seems to be staggered.  My iPhone updated a couple days ago, but my Android (what I normally fly with) did not have the update available until late yesterday afternoon.  I am in southern California.
I am looking forward to trying out the update, but can't for a couple more weeks since my Mini is at DJI getting fixed after RTH landed it in the edge of a tree and then it dropped 15 feet to a concrete driveway.

That’s my biggest complaint also, they need to make the data numbers bigger. It's hard to see those small numbers for older people with glasses. That is a major problem with the mini fly app. We need to make quick looks at the screen not havtng to stare at it so long.

Agreed, it's very difficult to see the top bar!

The android version on your phone needs to be 64 Bits  , DJI Fly app dont support 32 Bits.
The processor in the Galaxy J 7 V support 64Bits , but the android version installed is probably 32 Bits.
Phone with just 2/3 GB of RAM will most likely get the 32 Bits version due to the low amount of RAM available.

Try being older and waring trifocals or anew operator. All the data needs to be a title larger. The amount of satellites is redicoulous . Let’s get real here. Their are to many complaining about the data size. I think that is a major fault of theFly More app. I hope DJI wakes up and listen soon.

With regards to this matter the the mobile device needs to be 64-bit, otherwise the DJI Fly application is not compatible with the Android distribution and will not work. For reference I will post a link where in you can find the list of recommended mobile devices for the DJI Mavic Air 2 and for the DJI Fly application ( https://www.dji.com/mavic-air-2/downloads ). My point was in reply to the OP who’s title states 1.1.8 released - my reply was simply to advise that 1.1.9 has been. I made no reference to what changes it brought other than bug fixes.

Would appear that 1.1.9 is an iOS only release (bugfix as I understand it, so maybe only an iOS bug to fix).

The real reason for this post is that I discovered that I am now getting two .DAT files plus the .txt file for every flight instead of just one .DAT file.  Previously the one .DAT file had a filename such as:  20-09-04-10-57-53_FLY091.DAT - 10:57:53 on 04 Sept. 2020.  One thing I did not like was no AM / PM indication (still wish the US would go to using 24 hour clock).

Now, we are getting one file with the same filename format, and another that has exactly the same data in this filename format:
2020-09-26_22-13-33_FLY007.DAT - 22:13:33 on 26 Sept. 2020.  I like the four digit year as it makes it more obvious, and really like the 24 hour time.

What i am reading on the play store about what was in this update is

-Fixes local data mode issues.
-Fixes app crashing issues and improve overall stability.
