Hello;

I bought a used Phantom 3 Standard, which I'm attempting to use with my previous Phantom 3 Standard's controller.

I can't get the controller to link.  I've been Googling and found two different methods to link it:

1) Press link button on drone, then on controller hold gimbal dial all the way to right (some posts say left), and toggle the S2 switch.  I've tried this and it doesn't work.

2) Connect controller to iPhone and go through a series of steps that seem to require that the iPhone have a network connection to the drone.  But I don't know the drone's password ... evidently it's been set to something other than the default '12341234'.  And when I Google on how to reset the drone's password, it requires that the controller be linked to the drone, which puts me in a Catch-22 situation.

Help!

This resets the Wifi video downlink.  I am trying to either change the Wifi password in the drone, or link the controller to the drone.

This looks good except it doesn't work for me.  After I hold down the link button on the drone, it just starts flashing red and never turns green.

He do the switch too slow .... read the comments, maybe you miss some step ...

the switch must be quick

OK, this doesn't require a Wifi connection between the phone and the drone, right?  But it does require a cable connecting the phone to the controller?

No, I got the controller to beep as it does in linking mode, but the drone won't link to it.

Yes.  It's blinking red, and then I do the gimball dial + S2 switch on the controller.  The controller starts beeping like it's in link mode, but the reset button never turns green.

Oops, sorry, I was wrong about this.  That video did help me reset the Wifi password.  Thank you!

So I think the reason I can't link the controller to the drone is because the drone currently doesn't have a camera attached to it.  I saw another thread in which someone said that if there's no camera, you can't link a new controller.  Can anyone confirm that?
