Mine is brand new too, never could fly with it but no answer till now. Hope they will come back soon so that I can fly this WE.

Would definitely make things easier.

As for the workaround. To make things move faster just send the mail address of your DJI account to support when contacting them. You will able to install a new update via the remote control/Fly app after that.

For Mini 2 users who are getting the incompatible firmware message. Please first make sure that the drone has been updated to the latest version.If the drone is on the latest version, and spare batteries have been updated along with the drone, please try to clear the firmware cache in DJI Fly app in Profile > Settings > Clear Cache and restart the app and drone and check again. Please also try to reinstall the latest DJI Fly app if the previous step does not work. Format the SD card as well. (Please back up the needed files and sync the flight record to the cloud before you reinstall the app/format the SD card).
If the issue persists, please send the drone back for service. Please fill out the online repair request on our official web and send it back. Here is the link: https://www.dji.com/us/service/repair
We will do our best to help this out. Sorry for the trouble.

Hi, may I know if you have multiple batteries? If so, please change the battery that has not been updated the firmware with the drone, tap the incompatible firmware notification and update the firmware.
See if the issue is solved.

I am having the same problem.  I can't update to the new firmware to fix the incompatible firmware 30224 error.

I also have an "incompatible firmware error 30224" on my Mini 2, hence the need to update the firmware.  The drone can't be flown at the moment. Susan had provided me with a beta firmware update for the Mini 2 to fix the incompatible firmware issue but I can't seem to update my Mini 2.  Every-time I update, it will get stuck at 47% and the drone will disconnect from the RC and the firmware update will fail.   Every now and then (1 out of 20 times), it will get up to 70% but then fails at 70% and again the drone disconnects from the RC and the update installation fails.  The DJI saying it needs to connect to the aircraft.  

I've updated the fly app on the mobile (Samsung S10+), swapped different batteries, formatted the SD on the drone, tried the dji assistant 2 (can't connect to drone) but still no working.  Unfortunately, I don't have another device to use to try to update it.

I am running into multiple problems Any suggestions anyone?

After trying different things for the whole day, I've managed to finally update the firmware of the Mini 2 to the beta 01.02.0200.

I re-paired/re-link the drone with the RC and then it managed to complete the firmware update.


However, I am still getting the "incompatible firmware 30224" error and still unable to fly my Mini 2.  I've restarted and reset everything, formatted the SD card after the firmware update.  I am still unable resolve this issue. (see attached screenshots).  Everything else seems fine and working.

I took the Mini 2 with me to my holiday but I can't use it now. So disappointing.







Any suggestions on what to do since the new firmware failed to resolv the issue?

Did you install the latest DJI Flly app too? 1.2.2.

If you are using android, you have to download the latest version from DJI itself. Play store only has 1.2.1.

I've sent whatever logs I have to the DJI team because I've formatted my SD card..  Let's see how it goes, hopefully they'll find a solution soon.

Same here.  I am on a road trip holiday and hoping to get some nice shots.  Very frustrating but the DJI teams are working on it.  So not much we can do.
