Thanks AJ. Just a feature I noticed when I was filming the place for a local. Looks like a DIY addition to a finnial at the top of the spire. I only noticed it 'cos it was windy that day

The guy I did the video for had only just bought the place, so he couldn't tell me anything about it. Previous owner died some time ago..

A shot from further away.  The place needs gutting and refurbishing. He got it as a long-term project.

It is in a lovely setting. The owner lives and works in Paris but wants a country retreat. I don't think he's strapped for a bob or two

He's got a good few years yet before that ( mid forties). His dad is the local squire so they're all fairly well heeled.

Plenty of time to complete the project and get it ready. Nice place to retreat to and get away from the stress of Paris.

I imagine it's very similar to London in that respect. It may sound odd but I know Paris fairly well, and London hardly at all.

Both are capital cities and when you live and work in them all you want is peace and space - probably why I enjoy flying drones in the big parks and countryside so much. And my brother has a stunning country retreat too as you know. A lot of Londoners with a few bob usually have. I too am a forty-something so a few years yet until I retire.

Yes I was able to inspect the roof for the guy too, with the drone. See where any work needed to be done.
