I have the Mavic 2 Pro with Smart controller. I find the Smart controller restrictive for things like 3D modelling.

Is it possible to buy the standard controller separately?

Not that I'm aware of, Coojeebear.

For that reason I bought the drone with the standard controller and separately bought the smart controller.

Maybe you can try to find someone who want to sell second hand or try contact directly DJI support.
