I just spend 3 hours this morning updating to the latest firmware.

There were mulitple failures & at once point the Smart controller was frozen. Each failure message was insufficient space. I had to manually delete the failed firmware update files. The update is now complete, but I only have a very little space remaining available.

I need DJI help to know which files I can delete to recover space please.

I think most people are using the DJI assistant to install the update as there seems to be a lot of failures OTA.

Best to update using assistant 2 for Mavic and ensure you have 3gb of storage space on the SC. Try clearing out your cached video files.

Yup, did all that.

in my case it keeps stopping at 99% in the DJI mavic assist. then it tries to start download again, and again, and again.  just reset my smart controller to factory settings and I'm trying again to update the controller

It's still updating without any hiccups so far so good. Thank you for the information. By any chance do you know as I don't remember now how I can download the Google Play into the spark controller?

From you computer, download the Google installer 2.0 last version and copy the file APK to the micro usb card and them put it in to the smart controller. Then find the file from the smart controller and install it. You need to be connected to WiFi because i will download some stuff. Then you are good to go.

You are the second person I read during the update is unable to turn off the smart controller. The other person was did was leave the smart controller battery to die.

I am wondering if the regular switches with power bottom + volume (in others android devices) works with the smart controller. I will love to have a technician manual for the SC.
