The ruins of the castle on the hill at Domfront, Orne, are quite imposing. A walk around the gardens affords magnificent views all around.
On the day of our visit it had been raining overnight and, due to the late summer heat, a thick mist hung over the valley.
At ground level it was OK, but as the drone rose high enough to view the chateau, it disappeared into the mist.
Fortunately, the mist cleared long enough to get a few brief glimpses of the ruins and the gardens.
Not the best of shots, so a future visit will be attempted on our return to France early next year.

Thanks Depp. The mist was a real problem, actually. I couldn't get the shots I really wanted, and we couldn't hang around for the weather to clear as we were on our way to the ferry.  Maybe on the way back I'll have better luck

Dodging the weather is going to be getting more frequent - especially if youre still heading to Scotland.

No plans for Scotland this trip. Staying in the Peak District. Visiting family when the quarantine period ends.

Nope.
Although that is actually a very nice idea.
It is a Roland MC 707 (2nd hand)
I will go to the seller on Friday evening to test it out.
But if I decide to buy it, it will keep me occupied for many many evenings....

Ah, A musical interest. Should be great for adding backing to your drone videos. Although I would have thought the Roland FANTOM would have resonated with DJI gear    Rather pricey though.

Yeah indeed.
That would be even better.
But this is just a portable 'DAW' (I can tell you all about it, but that would go beyond the scope of this thread and probably also beyond the scope of your interest) and it seems fun to play with.

I've dabbled with MagixMusicMaker for some of my videos but came to the conclusion I don't have the necessary skills to pursue it further.
