A few rough spots in the upgrade, but taking the advice of others before me... we are in the air!

Now, how does it work?  Most controls are as with the stock controller. I haven't seen any affect of the right gimbal dial (right scroll wheel).

Also see no effect for the 5D button with the MA2.

Wonder if I need to program these, or perhaps they are inoperational with the SC?  If they are programmable, may need a guide to the setting, as I did not see them in the menu, only the C1 and C2 buttons.

check on the SC Manuals on the DJI website. There's a download page for the smart controller. You probably have to do some tweaks of the buttons and have them set to your preferences.

The right dial does nothing. it does not control the zoom at all.

it was my fault as I haven't chosen the 4k zoom option in DJI fly
if you do that you can control the zoom with the right wheel

The right wheel most definitely does control the zoom..... as long as you’re in a video mode that allows zoom
