Much of the Channel Coast of Normandy is a NFZ. However, to the west of the ferry port of Ouistreham, between Lion-sur-Mer and Luc-sur-Mer, is a short stretch where flying is permitted.  Flying a little way out to sea and searching along the coastline, I spotted this group of holiday caravans perched blithely on the edge of the cliff - the occupants apparently unconcerned by the possible risk of coastal erosion outside their windows.

Fantastic capture Blériot.  That's definitely too close to the edge for me.  Only safe there if you are in a houseboat.  LOL.

Yes. There's a similar occurrence on the East coast of England. Many houses are at risk and it's only a matter of time before they slide into the sea. No-one will insure them.

We have man caused earthquakes here in NL from gas extraction areas. They even stopped producing gas now because of this.
Sort of similar as nobody wanted to insure them anymore.
That was until the national gas company was held responsible and had to pay for the damage.

I don't think so. I've zoomed in but the definition isn't great. I think it's an old barn. No windows, sloping roof long since gone, Middle of a field. See what you think.......

Dont think it is,  the walls and roof would be much more substantial.  The German built ones along that stretch of cost were quite impressive.
