That image looks like it was captured off the screen. Try looking at the real video clip off the
SD card in the aircraft.

1. Is this distortion on all images?
2. Try shooting in RAW+JPG and open DNG-file in a RAW-converter, for example Lightroom. Is the distortion also in the RAW-files?
3. Is there distortion in recorded video?
If the answer is yes to all the above, the camera sensor is probably defect, or there is an error in the data read-out from the sensor.
Otherwise it could be a bad sd-card. Try another card.

Yeah, much the same as what I asked. Those repeating lines at the bottom will not be on the actual video file on the SD card from the aircraft. The problem is the application you are using to view the file.
