I've read downgrading the fly app version back to 1.1.6 (if you can) brings back 5.8

That model number on your box says it is EU model. So the guy above me has told you, you only have 2.4GHz.

What I learned from DJI official website is that Mavic Mini was released in two different models. One that only uses 5.8Ghz and flight distance and altitude able to reach 4 kilometres while the other, which happens to be the I purchased which has dual band transmission 2.4Ghz & 5.8Ghz but flight distance reaches to approximately 2 kilometres..

So based on your model number MT1SD25 you should indeed have BOTH 2.4GHz AND 5.8GHz on a CE model. Select 'manual' in the transmission settings and select one of the channels numbered 149 or higher and it will change 2.4 to 5.8.

Yeah, now that's the question.. There's no 5G for me to choose.. Theres only 2.4Ghz available regardless which button I press auto or manual both indicated only one band available and that makes me frustrated..

You can only select the frequency between the channels - there isn't a 2.4 or 5.8 option but if you select say channel 149 in manual settings it will switch to 5.8 automatically.

You mean if I'm selecting channel 1, 4 and 9 then it'll automatically switch to 5.8Ghz? Which means the rest of the channel are 2.4Ghz?

If you select 'manual' using a CE model then you should have channels 1-13 (2.4) then 149-165 (5.8). Select channel 149 or higher and it will switch to 5.8.

That seems to be the problem you have. As I said, others have stated that if you can downgrade your version of the fly app to 1.1.6 all the channels will show. There must be a glitch in the recent app update.

And there's one more issue I'm having.. The Return Home supposedly to have the aircraft back to the Home Point which it identify and store for return route navigation right? But what I'm having here whenever I conduct Return Home call, my craft descended straightaway without taking the saved home point into account like everywhere and anywhere are its home.. Geez..

Check the RTH guidelines in the official manual - and ensure you have fail safe set to RTH and not land in the safety section of the app

You need to download a copy of the manual and read it toroughly. If you initiate RTH while the aircraft is 20 Metres or closer to the home point, it does not return, it lands straight down. That is normal.

Ok. You showed your model number circled with no explanation.  At least I can’t figure it out.
So how do we know what we have.
I’m guessing I have 2.4

My bad yes you are right EU is dual band. It is shorter in range because the signal power is reduced in EU model. Possibly hardware restriction.

I literally just got a replacement Mavic Mini aircraft from the service (after the "I'm not a chicken" accident) and found that new aircraft did not have access to 5.8 GHz band, and also 2 channels from 2.4 GHz band is missing (due to interference 2.4 GHz band is not reliable in urban areas). After reading manual, I'm found out that 2.4 GHz only is available for MT1SD25 in the MIC (certification) region, but I'm in Europe (CE). In my case, as long as only remote control is switched on, a dual band is available on the transmission tab. So you guys say that there is an error in the latest version(s) of the DJI Fly app? I was out of flying business for a month. It seems to me that the problem is that aircraft from factory is with maximum restrictions in order not to break the rules and in my case it is not proposed to change the region to the current one. I'm using iPhone 6s and app version 1.1.9. This is totally a regional restrictions glitch.

Currently, there are at least 2 ways to unlock and one software to unlock all restrictions, search the web and find.

I use 1.1.6 (3044394) from apkmirror.com. There version 1.1.6 has 2 more options but suspiciously small file size.
When the broadcast settings are tailored to your region (popup window into DJI Fly app when connected RC and aircraft), you can use the latest version with its capabilities.
