A brief overview of part of our local wastewater treatment facility. I have consulted for this organization, and provided expertise for roof replacement on 3 buildings that appear in this clip.

That's quite a sizeable facility, it seems. when I compare it to the small ones around our villages.
This is only a portion of the entire site, it is pretty large. They handle wastewater for three cites and the surrounding county. Their operation includes reclaiming wastewater for irrigation and organic solids for application to farmland.

I found this clip in my archives - for comparison this is the sewage farm for a village of 1200 population.
Settling tanks, reed beds and just out of shot a small lake to collect the water run-off.

That's substantially smaller, but I like the natural treatment program (reeds). Nice image, thank you for sharing.

My pleasure. It's a common treatment method for small communities - at least in our area of NW France. They are some kind of reed, maybe bullrushes, I'm not sure.
