So my drone flew off today. The winds were strong and as i attempted a RTH, the drone went higher and lost control to the strong winds.


From the flight tracker on Find My Drone, the last location recorded was accross a major road at a height of about 30m.

I am wondering if it landed on a tree at that heaight, or if thats the height it was at when it lost connection.

I have searched the area for over 3 hours. The battery at takeoff was 100% but during my search, the battery seemed to have been dead.

My worry now is if the drone may have done some damage on someone's house, car, or even health.

It is a mavic mini, should i report to the police?

Thats roughly 100' - what structures are in the vicinity of the drones last point that are that high?

Trees. Very tall ones.

Probably in one of those trees or may have come down into one of the buildings - definitely write it off and as I said, best not to go to the police - it would be a hand yourself in scenario
