Colorful remnants of an ancient sea bed, this eroded geology is commonly  known as "Breakaway country" and extends for 750km from South of Coober  Pedy South Australia to just south of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.

Louis Blériot was the first aviator to cross the English Channel, in an aeroplane he designed and built himself. The stamp which I use as my Avatar was printed and issued to commemorate the centenary of that event, in 2009.
